I was feeling down most of this week. So, the night before Thanksgiving
we decided to cook a traditional Thanksgiving turkey. When we asked the
great knowledgable "Internet" about the recipe, we found out that the
traditinal turkey had to thawed (unfrozen) for 24 hours :(
Well we didn't lose heart and today morning (Thanksgiving Thursday)
drove to the Jewel and started asking the guy in the meat department. He
pointed us to some pre cooked Turkey that requires just 2 hours to cook.
We also bought the other traditional things like Corn bread stuffing,
Turkey sauce, Mashed potatoes....After dinner, we saw a movie and played poker. I doubled my chips from
20 to 39 in just under 2 hours. This is my best performance . I am sure
that my friends didn't just let me win as at one time I had to ask for
10 chips loan to be able to continue. We just finished our evening (3
AM Chicago time).
Since coming back from Europe, I have just done a short laundry load on
Monday. So I am woefully short on clean clothes and tomorrow I will buy some
new clothes and electronics. I am looking forward to get a good sale
price on a submarine. This along with my fighter jet and city tank will
complete my defence purchases. Before you start calling CIA or FBI, I should tell you that I am just talking about remote control toys!!!
